Using WASD on a conventional keyboard is an awkward position to put your hand in, that's for sure. I'm with Jakal in saying RSI is part of a larger suite of problems, and switching to controller is no fix. I've played enough analog controller games to know that right trigger finger fatigues over time, and the wrist muscles connected to the thumbs. If you have to use a keyboard and mouse all day for work, changing to a different control method for play should help prevent RSI, assuming it doesn't use the same motions.
